Hepatect® CP is a human hyperimmunoglobulin for intravenous infusion manufactured from plasma from vaccinated donors with high anti-HBs antibody titres. A modern technological process preserves the optimal function and activity of the specific immunoglobulins.
Hepatect® CP is used for the post-exposure prophylaxis of HBV infection e.g. after needle puncture injuries and for the prophylaxis of vertical transmission in neonates. It is the only hepatitis B hyperimmunoglobulin also licensed for the prophylaxis of HBV reinfection after liver transplantation.
